I've been playing violin for a little over 12 years. I've been in all of my school orchestras from elementary school to high school and continue to seek for more in college.

Violin:

I was the concert master of my high school orchestra during my senior year and I've lead many of the small ensembles we had as well.

I've been a part of a few solo/ ensemble festivals where I received superior and excellent ratings for county and state during middle school.

And I've been in many orchestral competitions with the festival of music during high school. My most recent competition was in Williamsburg, VA where my orchestra performed a warm-up piece and 2 other pieces that we were judged for.

We were critiqued normally for intonation, dynamics, expression, consistency and many other orchestral factors that are essential in making music by professionals and professors of colleges around the United States. I'm proud to say that as a group, my orchestra received superior ratings and won (Along with the band) the esprit de corpse award.

Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for a little over 9 years. I was inspired to play from artists like Taylor Swift, Green Day and many more that are played on the radio.

I usually sing with my guitar since I'm more of a rhythm guitar player, but I play electric guitar as well.

I've done many performances with my guitar and have sang in talent shows and churches too. Unlike violin though, I've had private lessons for about 4 years on the guitar and eventually, I decided to take a break and teach myself. I've learned a lot since and I'm planning to make music videos and covers sometime over the summer. Guitar is definitely different from the violin and it took me some time to get used to it. But I have definitely learned so much and I'm fortunate that they're both in the string family and I can pick up a guitar and sing my heart out.

Piano:

I've been playing piano for about 7 years. I was inspired with the piano for how unique it was and how you can sound like 2 or 3 people playing.

I took lessons for about 3 years and stopped around the same time I stopped taking lessons for guitar. I haven't done much performing with the piano, though I am working to do just that!

Piano was probably one of the hardest instruments I got to learn simply because it trains your brain to do so much at once. Of course, as you advance you don't think twice about what your doing, but it's pretty amazing to look down and see how you have trained your hands and eyes to do so much at once.

This is a short video I made with the help of my amazing photographer Angel Yeldell. Together, we created a stunning clip to show you who I am and what I do. My goal out of this clip was to be different and to motivate musicians of any level to never give up and to always keep pushing.

Enjoy-
